Purpose: To render Risk Management and Compliance Services.

Purpose: To strengthen the administrative, oversight capacity and accountability of municipalities to perform their develomental responsibilities.

2.2 CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT

Purpose: To develop and implement institutional capacity building programmes in support of municipalities.

2.3 MUNICIPAL PERFORMANCE MONITORING AND EVELUATION

Purpose: To monitor and evaluate the performance of municipalities.

2.4 SERVICE DELIVERY IMPROVEMENT

Purpose: To facilitate public access to government information and services to communities through Thusong Service Centres (TSC's).

2.5 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Purpose: To coordinate and monitor Community Participation.

PROGRAMME 3: DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING

3.1 STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT, RESEARCH, POLICY AND PLANNING

Purpose: To coordinate the development of strategies and policy planning.

3.2 SPATIAL PLANNING

Purpose: To coordinate development of spatial planning services.

3.3 LAND USE MANAGEMENT

Purpose: To facilitate and coordinate intergrated planning for sustainable infrastructure development and service delivery.
